First Application – 15kW Nano & Microgrid Gensets For Villages in India

We and our partners will provide electricity to 10,000 non-grid villages in India with a total population of more than 50,000,000.  This electricity will, in turn, power water purification and nearby cell phone towers for communication.

Installations are projected to begin this year.

Distributed Power – Microgrids and Nanogrids

The global trend is in distributed power, particularly for use in micro-grids and, increasingly, nano-grids. These are systems that produce between 5kW and 100kW locally, rather than at remote power stations.

This market is projected to grow to $60 billion by 2023. Because the architecture of our generators and motors significantly changes the economics of distributed power; we expect to capture a significant share of that growth with advantageous partners.

Cell Towers

The telecom market is expected to see continued expansion, with mobile data traffic growing by 53 percent annually from 2015 to 2020. These towers typically need 5 to 15 kW of power. Worldwide, forty percent of these towers are off-grid; or, if there is a grid, as in India, it is both incomplete and unreliable; and, therefore, requires backup generators for stable operation.  For any of these installations, by far the greatest operating expense is fuel. By reducing fuel consumption, our machines provide fast investment payback with superior reliability.

Diverse and Wide-Ranging Applications

Because of the performance characteristics, power densities and field reliability of our technologies, there is an extraordinary array of applications. Below are just a few examples:
